2011 Save Ourselves Fundraising Hike

On Sat., October 22nd, 2011, ten hardy souls participated in the first-ever SOS fundraising hike at Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County!  This event would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsor, The Walking Company.  We are so grateful for all their support:  Wonderful SOS T-shirts, hats, brochures, etc.  They really ARE the best!  A big thank you goes out to REI Co-op, who provided participants with complimentary food bars to keep their energy up.

Dr. Amy Wandel Addresses - Open Door Meeting

May 2011 - Dr. Amy Wandel, a  Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with Mercy Medical Group of Sacramento (with extensive experience in breast  reconstruction) spoke about surgical options for cancer survivors and answered attendees' questions.

 

SOS Team Participates in Susan G. Komen 2011 Race for the Cure

On Saturday, May 7, 2011, an enthusiastic Save Ourselves Team (made up of members, friends, and family of this organization) joined thousands of other Sacramentans once again for this joyous and hopeful event.                                                 

                                   

 

Save Ourselves Summer Potluck Social

On July 25th, 2010, Save Ourselves held another of our delicious potlucks at the home of Naluh Andrade.  Her family graciously provided a lovely home and yard for all to enjoy!  We got to know each other on a more personal level; talking, eating, laughing, eating, sharing, eating and so on!  Some of us learned a more proficient way to cut up a watermelon, thanks to Naluh!  The weather was beautiful and a great time was had by all.

Save Ourselves 9th Annual "Take A Swing For Survivors" Golf Tournament

On May 14th, 2010, Empire Ranch Golf Course in Folsom, Caifornia, once again provided a great day of golf for our faithful participants.  The weather couldn't have been better and the food was delicious as usual.  We had an amazing raffle and auction, offering everything from dog washes and Loudmouth golf pants, to a very impressive piece of golf art. We want to especially thank our sponsors: Genentech, Schumacher Enterprises LLC, and Synvasive Technology for supporting us this year and helping to make our golf tournament a great success!
